Visas
Students traveling to Spain for academic courses, research, internships, or mobility programs lasting more than 90 days must apply for a Student Visa (Type D) and a NIE (Foreigner Identity Number).
As part of our services, we will guide you through this process and review all your information to ensure it is
correct before you submit your documentation. We will provide you with the official Program Invitation Letter
required to start your visa application.
IMPORTANT: The final decision regarding visa issuance rests exclusively with the Spanish authorities.
GAIAS Europa is not responsible for the approval or denial of any visa. While we provide guidance based on our extensive experience, the final decision is beyond our control.
SERVICES
Health Insurance
For your safety and protection, and as a mandatory requirement for your visa application, travelers must have a valid insurance policy for all Schengen States.
This policy must cover the entire duration of your stay and include all expenses for emergency medical care, emergency hospital treatment, medical repatriation, or repatriation in the event of death.
- Minimum coverage: €30,000.
- Non Deductible / No Copay: The policy must cover 100% of medical expenses with no out-of-pocket costs.
- Waiting Period: The policy must have no waiting period (periodo de carencia).
- Repatriation: Must include repatriation to your home country in the event of death.
- Recommendation: We strongly recommend purchasing an insurance policy from a provider based in Spain.

Housing
Accommodation is a fundamental part of your stay in Spain. As a student in Spain, you can choose to live in a student residence or in shared rooms within an apartment or student flats.
At GAIAS Europa, we work with several university residences located within the city of Valencia in strategic locations, with immediate access to public transportation, modern rooms, a safe student environment, and just a few minutes by bus from the GAIAS Europa academic center.
The choice of accommodation is a personal and family decision that each student must make according to their needs. We offer options so that our students have the best experience in Valencia and feel at home. We always recommend choosing a student residence, as it is safer and more conducive to cultural exchange.
