We promote educational innovation with visits from career counselors from Ecuadorian schools

At GAIAS Europa, we have had a particularly enriching week, marked by exchange, reflection, and shared learning around new forms of educational guidance focused on the well-being and comprehensive development of students. During these days, we had the privilege of welcoming vocational counselors from several Ecuadorian schools with whom we shared concerns, experiences, and the same transformative vision of education.

We were joined by representatives from leading educational institutions such as Colegio Menor Quito, with Patricia Ricle; Tomás Moro International School, with Ximena Carrión; Colegio José Engling, with María Angélica Buendía; and Liceo Internacional, with Sebastián Jarrín. Together with them, and with the support of local experts and educational partners from Valencia, we created a space for open dialogue on the current challenges of educational guidance and its key role in the training of 21st-century students.

Throughout the program, we shared innovative educational methodologies, opened our classrooms, and reflected together on how to truly integrate emotional and social well-being into learning processes. We firmly believe that supporting students goes far beyond academics, and this week allowed us to deepen that conviction from multiple perspectives.

Among the most notable activities, we visited local institutions such as IALE School, MAS Camarena School, and the Oceanogràfic, which offered an inspiring vision of how innovation, creativity, and well-being are integrated into everyday society. These experiences allowed us to observe firsthand practices that put students at the center and foster their integrated development.

The week was further enriched by presentations from specialists in neuroscience and education. Israel del Burgos, professor at GAIAS Europa, and Luis Moya, professor at the University of Valencia, shared key insights on the relationship between empathy, neuroscience, and learning, sparking in-depth conversations on how to support students in their emotional and intellectual growth.

For us, this experience represents another step forward in our commitment to building bridges between international educational communities. Collaborative work allows us to learn from each other, drive innovation, and strengthen a truly comprehensive education, understood as a tool for human and social development.

We ended the visit with a very clear idea: to educate is to transform, and that transformation is only possible through cooperation, openness, and conscious attention to the comprehensive development of the student. We appreciate everyone’s participation in this enriching week. We continue with the firm conviction that education is transformation, and working collaboratively is what allows us to expand. We continue to build bridges!
