GAIAS Europe recently welcomed the technical team from the CADIR Association (Capacidades Diferentes y Responsables), a Valencian non-profit organization committed to promoting the labor and social inclusion of people with disabilities and groups at risk of exclusion. The visit consisted of a training session at the hub’s facilities, designed to generate spaces for knowledge transfer and collaboration between the academic and professional spheres.
During the meeting, CADIR presented its comprehensive approach to social and employment guidance, based on placing the individual at the center of the support process. The importance of social and employment guidance as a strategic tool for ensuring equal opportunities, promoting personal autonomy, and facilitating active participation in working and social life was highlighted.
CADIR representatives also shared the projects and programs they are developing from a social innovation perspective, understood as the ability to design responses tailored to people’s real needs. This approach combines individualized support, networking with organizations and companies, and continuous improvement of support services, making it possible to transform barriers into opportunities and build sustainable, inclusive, and diversity-friendly pathways to employment.

GAIAS Europa emphasizes the importance of this type of experience, which promotes shared learning between the educational sphere and professional practice. CADIR’s visit reinforces both institutions’ commitment to building more inclusive intervention models based on collaboration, knowledge transfer, and the generation of positive social impact.
This initiative reflects GAIAS Europa’s desire to promote learning environments that not only provide academic training but also contribute to a more just, diverse, and inclusive society, strengthening the connection between knowledge, social innovation, and professional practice.
